Welcome to the first post of frugalpr.com.

This will be a short and sweet kickoff of a web site that I have a lot of hope for. I hope you will find frugalpr.com an excellent resource as you search for ways to promote yourself, your business or if you are looking for frugal marketing for others. We’ll be searching for low cost effective ways to build a public relations campaign around issues that matter to you and me.

There are tons of sites that tell you what you should do and where you should go for information and How-To’s. I know, I visit these types of sites everyday. What ends up happening many times is that I go on a wild goose chase. The site I started on is never the site I end up on. With this site I hope to cut that down to a minimum. You have come to this site and I hope you will stay a while and we can learn together. I certainly will refer to the experts and link to them on a regular basis.

This site was started because I simply could not and did not want to pay someone else for everything I wanted to do on the internet. Over the past couple of years, I have learned to build a Wordpress blog site, shoot video and learn some graphics work. I wrote a few checks to folks who delivered a product that I was not happy with. You don’t have to do that too many times before you start thinking that you could do better. How many of you have paid for services that you knew that you could have done a better job yourself?

Stick with me on this. We are going to create some opportunities with what we learn. Remember, no ideas are stupid until we figure out they don’t work. This site is about ideas that work and how we apply them.
